The Steep Stone (Stāvakmens), as it was called at the end of the 20th century, has been located in this place for many thousand years.
Pirgu village. From the centre of the Lõiuse village follow the Lõiuse-Pirgu gravel road for 1,3 km to the West and North-West, 250 m to the North-East for 250 m, on the edge of the field in a bird cherry (Prunus padus) bush.
In the forests of the Durbe River left bank between Dunalka and Cīrava, in the surroundings of Mūrnieki homestead, 14 m NE from Mūrnieki 2nd Cup-Marked Stone, on the edge of an overgrown clearing.
