About 1 km from Grobiņa town border in the direction of Riga, 150 m from Rīga–Liepāja highway, on its 185th kilometre, on the left side, in the gentle slope of the Ālande River valley, in a meadow, on the land of the Padambji homestead. 20 m from the stone towards the highway there is a high-voltage electric line.
In the surroundings of Kapsēde, next to the former Liepāja–Ventspils railroad, on its left side. The railroad now has been made into a road. Next to the stone there is a big intersection of several roads, however, once there used to be a level crossing with an intersection of gravel roads next to it.
