Description
Dimensions of the stone: 4,0 x 2,9 x 1,3 m, circumference – 10,6 m, volume – around 7 m3. Large-grained, very much cracked granite.
Narrative
It is said Devil had sat on the stone and had looked at the animals digging the River Daugava.
Attraction
Hard to access, since it is located in a closed courtyard. Although the owners are welcoming, mass visits could be bothering. A kennel and a fierce dog are right next to the stone.
Availability
Access is partly complicated.
Infrastructure, management, facilities
Neat and well-managed courtyard, but larger tourism groups should not be brought. Town Plavinas: several churches and memorial sites, several castle mounds, accommodation and catering sites, shops, and other tourism infrastructure.
