Description
A cup-marked stone with archaeological significance. Dimensions: length 2.0 m, width 1.1 m, height 0.5 m, circumference 5.00 m, volume only 0.5 m3. Grey-brown granite. The surface of the stone is heavily eroded. In the middle the stone is split by a bigger crack, perpendicular to which there are several small cracks. Parallel to the bigger crack there is an up to 3 mm wide quartz lead. The stone lies in its original place. 7 spherical cavities have been found on the surface of the cup-marked stone.
Narrative
There is no evidence about Joguļi cup-marked stones in folklore because they have been absolutely unknown this far. However, the cup marks made by ancient people in the stone surfaces suggest that people once lived here and committed certain cultic activities. It remains to make guesses regarding the kind of activities, because in Europe there are altogether around 30 different versions about the origin of the cup marks, however, which of them is the right one is still to be found out by scholars.
