The former location of the healing stone lies directly on the highway.
As late as World War II, skin diseases were treated with the water that collected in the concavity. Unfortunately the stone was destroyed during road construction. Tens of healing stones are known in western Estonia. It was believed that certain stones had the power to treat diseases. A stone’s healing powers could be increased by a natural depression on the stone, which collected rainwater. Water that collected after a thunderstorm was considered especially potent.
