Description
The Church Hill which nowadays features no church or anything else. An ancient site which is still to be explored in the future because it may turn out to be both an ancient, pagan cult site as well as a former location of a Christian church. Nowadays from the 8 m high hill there are good views to the nearby Kuldīga–Skrunda highway and surroundings.
Narrative
According to a legend in the Church Hill there used to be a church that sank into the ground. On the hill ghosts have as if appeared. Nowadays no remains of church foundations or anything else that might suggest a building on the hill or its slopes are visible.

The first to survey the ancient site was the explorer of hillforts Ernests Brastiņš in 1922. In 1925 R. Baumanis reported that 16-18th century coins had been found in the Church Hill.
