Description
This is an ancient burial ground, but the name of the hill, as it is mentioned in older texts – the Sacrificial Hill (Upurkalns in Latvian) – refers also to the place as a probable ancient cult site, although the probability is very low. There is no evidence of that on site. The ancient burial ground is located on a flat elevation.
Narrative
