Description
The surface of the Idols’ Hill is naturally rounded, not trimmed or modified by a man, in average 50m long and covered by a deciduous forest. On the slopes of the hill there are old excavation sites and remains of a cellar.
Narrative
There is a well-founded opinion that the Sacrificial Hill is the cult place of the nearby Embūte Hill Fort – the kind of sacred hills common for the southern part of Kurzeme (Courland). No deeper archeological explorations of the site have been made.
