Description
Output of the spring – 0,5 l/sec. The outlet is 0,45 m deep, 0,7 m wide, further on the bed of the spring is around 1m wide. Fall is gently sloping, the current is slow. Wet, swampy site; the trail around the spring is paved with dolomite cobbles and there is a plank-way over the spring. Another sulphur spring: 35 m direction NE from the facilitated spring, output of the spring – 1,5 l/sec. Increasing. Outlet is up to 1,5 m deep, the bed is 1 – 2 m wide. 10 m from this spring is another small spring – iron-rich spring.
Narrative
The ancient holy spring is located on the edge of Ellite Bog. The bog itself is a nature object bearing a mythological name (‘Ellite’ – Small Hell).
Attraction
In terms of heritage and botany – highly interesting, the holy spring – an ancient cult site, which is appreciated also nowadays.
Availability
Access by a trail. May be hard to access in bad weather conditions and in winter.

20 m away – a wooden table and bench, next to it – an information board. On the nearby gravel road – a sign and an information board, small bridges cross two ditches. Nearest town – Aizkraukle, where shops, accommodation and catering sites are found.
